Blanco Kitchen Remodeling: The Dallas Owner’s Guide

If you have a Blanco faucet, sink, or dispenser that’s wearing out, and you’re weighing whether to fix the component or rework the whole kitchen around it, here’s the straight answer: a full kitchen remodel in Dallas runs $14,000 – $45,000, but a targeted Blanco part replacement or fixture-driven refresh typically lands far lower, often between $2,000 and $6,500 when countertops and sink cutouts are involved. Bradford Remodeling Co Dallas stocks common Blanco-compatible plumbing trim on the truck and handles the full remodel when the part failure is the push you needed. Most Dallas homeowners find us the same way: a Blanco faucet drips, the ceramic cartridge is shot, and suddenly they’re standing in a kitchen they haven’t liked since 2009.

Dallas water runs hard. That’s the detail nobody in a national parts catalog will tell you. Blanco hardware is built in Germany and Ontario, and it performs well here, but hard water mineral buildup is faster in Dallas than in most U.S. metros. Before we replace a Blanco cartridge or spray head, we always check mineral scaling first. Sometimes what looks like a failed part is just sediment that a descaling solves in twenty minutes. If it is failed, we price the part and the labor separately, in writing, before we start.

Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco’s kitchen lineup splits into two main families: the Silgranit composite sink line (fired granite composite, matte finish) and the stainless faucet/sink series. Our Dallas crews work on both, plus the Blanco dispenser and soap pump systems that often fail before the sink itself does. The gotcha that trips up most homeowners: Blanco faucets use proprietary cartridges, not the generic quarter-turn stems you’ll find on a $40 box-store unit. If your faucet is a Blanco and it’s dripping, you need a Blanco-spec ceramic disc cartridge matched to the exact series, not whatever the hardware store has on the pegboard hook.

To identify your model, look under the sink apron for a stamped series code, or check the faucet base for a small etched number. Silgranit sinks have the series label etched into the underside of the bowl, usually near the drain. The older Blanco Diamond and Blanco Performer lines used slightly different mounting hole spacing than the current Precision and Culina series, measuring as 1-3/8″ versus 1-1/2″ centers. If you’re replacing a faucet on an older Blanco sink and the new faucet’s deck plate covers the old holes, great. If it doesn’t, you’re looking at a sink or countertop change, which is where our kitchen remodel scope starts to make sense. On OEM versus aftermarket: for Blanco cartridges and spray heads, we recommend OEM. The aftermarket parts we’ve seen in Dallas run looser on tolerances, and the leak comes back. For sink strainers and tailpieces, a quality aftermarket match is fine and saves money.

Signs Your Blanco Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

  • Faucet drips after shutting off, and it’s getting worse. The ceramic cartridge inside the valve has scored or cracked. Blanco cartridges do not seat differently over time, the ceramic plates wear flat. Once the nickel plating on the disc wears through, the only fix is a new cartridge. This is the single most common Blanco call we run in Dallas.
  • The spray head loses pressure or drips at the collar. The hose fitting or the spray head’s internal check valve is failing, or the hose itself has developed a pinhole from being pulled too far under the sink. Blanco hoses are braided, but the collar connection is a known wear point, especially in high-use kitchens.
  • The Silgranit sink shows white, chalky rings that won’t scrub off. That is not the sink failing. That is Dallas hard water mineral deposit etching into the matte surface. It is reversible with the right cleaner, and it is also a sign that the faucet cartridge has been letting water sit where it shouldn’t.
  • The soap dispenser pump sticks or no longer draws soap. The plunger and spring inside the Blanco dispenser head are plastic. They fatigue. This is a ten-minute part swap, but if the throat is cracked at the counter, you need a new dispenser assembly and likely a new countertop hole gasket to prevent water getting under the stone or laminate.
  • The sink drain gasket fails and water shows up in the cabinet below. This is the one to take seriously. A failed Blanco drain gasket in Dallas means water is pooling under the sink, and if that cabinet floor is MDF, it will swell and delaminate. The part is cheap. The cabinet damage is not.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A remodeled kitchen with a waterfall island and wood cabinets

For a Blanco-specific part replacement in Dallas, you’ll typically spend $250 – $700 for a faucet cartridge swap with labor, depending on the Blanco series and how much mineral buildup has to be cleaned out of the valve body. A full faucet replacement on an existing Blanco sink runs $800 – $2,500 installed, including fixture and trim. If the sink itself has failed, or the countertop needs to be cut for a new spec, the job becomes a countertop replacement, which lands at $2,000 – $6,500 in Dallas, and a full remodel at $14,000 – $45,000 depending on cabinetry, countertop material, and whether we’re moving plumbing or electrical.

What’s included on the part-level work: the written price before we start, the exact part number we’re installing, our labor, and our cleanup. What’s included on a full kitchen remodel: the written scope, permit coordination, the same documented brands we use on every job, KraftMaid and Wellborn for cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone for surfaces, Kohler and Moen for fixtures where Blanco is not specified, and our 365-Day Done Right Promise, a full-year written guarantee. If the work fails inside that window, we come back and correct it at no charge.

DIY or Call Us?

A Blanco faucet cartridge is not a dangerous part to handle, but it is an easy one to get wrong. The retaining nut on Blanco valves is reverse-threaded on some older series, and if you crack the valve body by forcing it the wrong direction, you’re replacing the faucet, not the cartridge. The same goes for the Silgranit sink itself: the composite is harder than most stainless, but it chips if a heavy tool drops in the bowl, and a chipped Blanco sink cannot be patched invisibly. The repair that looks like a simple weekend job can turn into a torn-out countertop.

If you’re comfortable with the valve in front of you, we’ll sell you the exact OEM part and tell you the thread direction over the phone. But if you’re not sure, or if the part is above average frustration, call (903) 326-8963 and we’ll send a background-checked, uniformed technician with the right cartridge on the truck. Straight number, real scope, no surprises on delivery day.
