Boxabl Kitchen Remodeling: The Dallas Owner’s Guide
A full Boxabl kitchen remodel in Dallas runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, depending on cabinet grade, countertop material, and whether we’re replacing the original Boxabl fixtures or starting fresh. We stock Boxabl-compatible cabinetry hardware, laminate surfaces, and compact appliance fittings on the truck, so most Boxabl kitchen projects move from estimate to finished install in three to six weeks. You’ll typically know it’s time when cabinet faces delaminate at the seams, the original sink flange separates from the laminate substrate, or drawer slides bind so badly the drawers won’t close without a fight.
Which Boxabl Models This Applies To

Boxabl’s Casita models use a consistent kitchen footprint, but there’s a compatibility gotcha owners need to know: the early-2021 units shipped with a 24-inch-deep base cabinet run, while most units built after mid-2022 moved to a 27-inch depth to accommodate a standard undermount sink. If you’re replacing a single cabinet or the sink base, measure the depth before ordering anything. We’ve seen well-meaning owners order standard 24-inch stock cabinets for a 27-inch Boxabl bay and end up with a 3-inch reveal at the toe kick that looks wrong and collects debris.
The original Boxabl kitchen uses a proprietary clip-in cabinet mounting system, not face screws. The hardware is serviceable, but when it fails, inline OEM replacements are thin on the market. We carry a steel aftermarket clip bracket that seats into the original Boxabl wall channel and gives you a more rigid anchor point than the factory plastic clip. It’s a better long-term fix than reordering the same part that broke. For cabinets, we run KraftMaid and Wellborn boxes with modified toe kicks and end panels to match the Boxabl reveal lines. Cambria and Silestone both cut quartz slabs to Boxabl’s compact counter run without a seam, so the visual stays clean.
We’re an independent Dallas contractor, not affiliated with Boxabl. What that means for you is we’re not tied to a parts channel that’s been inconsistent on lead times. We order what we can’t stock, and we tell you the real delivery date before work starts.

Signs Your Boxabl Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Edge banding pulling away from cabinet doors and drawer fronts. Dallas humidity swings from summer to winter cause the laminate edge banding on the original Boxabl cabinets to expand and contract at a different rate than the MDF core. Once the adhesive lets go, the banding will never sit flush again without a re-glue and clamp, which works for a while but is a temporary fix.
- The sink flange lifts off the countertop. The factory Boxabl sink is a drop-in style sealed with a thin silicone bead. UV exposure and thermal cycling through Dallas’s hot summers weaken that seal. When you set a full stockpot in the sink and hear a click or feel movement, the seal has failed and water is already working into the laminate substrate.
- Drawers bind or drop to one side. The original Boxabl drawer slides are light-duty, and the mounting screws thread into the MDF cabinet wall with no reinforcement. Over time the screws wallow out their holes, the slide cocks, and the drawer rides at an angle. You can see the telltale screw wiggle before the drawer actually fails.
- Laminate countertop seams open up near the sink. Boxabl countertop runs are short, but the factory sometimes seamed near the sink cutout, which is the highest-stress point. Constant moisture and heat from the dishwasher below breaks the seam adhesive, and the dark line that appears is water intrusion, not just cosmetic wear.
- Cabinet boxes pull away from the wall channel. The plastic factory clips that hold the upper cabinets to the Boxabl wall track crack with age and load. If you press up on the cabinet and it shifts by more than a quarter inch, at least one clip is broken and putting the load on the remaining clips.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

In Dallas, a Boxabl kitchen remodel runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, with the spread driven almost entirely by material choices. A refresh that keeps the existing cabinet boxes but replaces doors, drawer fronts, hardware, countertop, and sink typically lands between $14,000 and $22,000. A full tear-out with semi-custom KraftMaid or Wellborn cabinetry, Cambria or Silestone quartz, new plumbing fixtures, and a reworked island runs $30,000 to $45,000. Smaller scoped work nails down like this: cabinet installation alone, $4,000 to $13,000; countertops, $2,000 to $6,500; backsplash, $800 to $2,500; a kitchen island, $3,000 to $10,000.
Every one of those numbers is a written price before we start. We don’t reprice at the door, and the price on the line-item quote is the price on the final invoice. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the entire job for a full year: if anything in that kitchen fails inside twelve months, Bradford Remodeling comes back and corrects it at no charge. That’s The Garrison Standard, put on paper, in your hand, before demolition starts.
The only surprise on a Bradford kitchen remodel should be how smooth it went. Straight number, real scope, no surprises on delivery day.
DIY or Call Us?
A homeowner can safely inspect the failure without tools: check drawer slides for screw wiggle, press on cabinets to test clip movement, look for open countertop seams and lifted edge banding. That tells you what’s wrong. But fixing a Boxabl kitchen properly means working with compact clearances, the wall-channel mounting system, and laminate and quartz that chip if mishandled. The cabinet removal and reinstall carries genuine pinch-point and lifting hazards, and plumbing disconnects behind a Boxabl sink are tight enough that a wrong move means a leak that soaks the floor deck. This is not a weekend job for a homeowner comfortable hanging a picture frame.

FAQs

The original Boxabl cabinets and countertops typically last 7 to 12 years in Dallas’s climate before the laminate edges, drawer slides, or countertop seams start failing, with the sink area usually going first. Humidity and heat cycling in North Texas accelerate the factory adhesive breakdown compared to the temperate markets Boxabl units were originally tested in.

Yes, if the cabinet boxes are still sound, we can replace doors, drawer fronts, slides, hinges, and the countertop without a full tear-out, which usually saves $8,000 to $15,000 off a full replacement. The deciding factor is whether the MDF boxes have absorbed moisture; once water gets into the core, the material swells and loses screw-holding strength, and repair stops making sense.

A full Boxabl kitchen remodel in Dallas typically takes three to six weeks from demolition to final walkthrough, depending on cabinet lead times and whether custom quartz fabrication is needed. We keep standard Boxabl-depth cabinet hardware and laminate on hand, so scoped repairs can go faster than a full custom order.
Call (903) 326-8963 and we’ll give you a real schedule based on your scope, in writing, before you sign anything.
We stock steel replacement wall-channel clips, box-compatible drawer slides, hinge plates, and edge-banding materials for Boxabl Casita kitchens on our Dallas trucks, and we can source the rest through our supply channels with quoted lead times. The factory plastic clips are the weakest link in the Boxabl kitchen, so we keep the aftermarket steel version on hand and install it standard on any Boxabl job.
