Silestone Kitchen Remodeling: The Dallas Owner’s Guide
A full Silestone kitchen remodel in Dallas typically runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, depending on countertop square footage, cabinet scope, and whether we’re touching plumbing or electrical. We install Silestone quartz surfaces as part of complete kitchen remodels and carry the fabrication specs to match existing Silestone work when you’re replacing a single section rather than the whole kitchen. What brings most Dallas homeowners to us is a specific failure: a cracked slab, a seam that’s opened up, or a sink cutout that’s chipped beyond repair. They want to know if the Silestone can be saved, what replacement will cost, and whether the new piece will match what’s already there.
Which Silestone Models This Applies To

Silestone runs three main series that show up in Dallas kitchens: the classic Eternal series, the newer HybriQ+ line (which uses a recycled-content binder), and the Sunlit Days and Loft collections you see in a lot of 2015-and-newer builds. All are quartz composite: roughly 90% natural quartz with resin binders and pigments. The compatibility gotcha most owners don’t know is that Silestone changed its color-matching process when HybriQ+ launched in 2020. A slab you bought in 2015 under a color name like “White Zeus” or “Cement Spa” will not match a 2024 slab of the same name exactly. The base tone is close, but the veining density and background depth differ enough that you’ll see the seam if we set old and new side by side.
If you still have the original order paperwork, the SKU and lot code are printed on the fabricator’s invoice. If not, we pull a small sample from an inconspicuous edge and match against current Silestone production. For older Dallas kitchens where an exact match isn’t possible, we walk you through two honest options: replace the full run so everything matches, or choose a deliberate contrast piece for the island or a single counter section.

Signs Your Silestone Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Hairline cracks near the sink or cooktop cutout. Quartz doesn’t flex, so a too-thin rail between the sink edge and counter front will eventually crack. We see this most often on under-mounted sinks where the fabricator left less than 3 inches of material.
- Seam separation or visible glue line. Dallas homes shift with clay soil movement, and a seam that wasn’t shimmed level at install will open up over time. If you can catch a fingernail on the seam, it’s failing.
- Discoloration or clouding around hot-use areas. Silestone is resin-bound. Setting a hot pan directly on the surface damages the resin and leaves a cloudy ring that won’t polish out.
- Chipped edges on the counter overhang. Quartz is hard but brittle at sharp corners. A heavy stockpot dropped on the edge will take a chunk out, and edge chips can’t be invisibly patched.
- Water staining that darkens over time. Older Silestone without the newer seal treatment can absorb water around the sink deck, leaving a gray cast that worsens each year.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For Dallas kitchens, a Silestone countertop replacement (tear-out of old tops, new fabrication, install, and seam work) typically runs $2,000 to $6,500 depending on square footage and edge profile. A full kitchen remodel with Silestone tops, new cabinetry, backsplash, and plumbing fixture work runs $14,000 to $45,000. A smaller kitchen refresh falls in the $9,000 to $20,000 range. What drives the spread: how many slabs your layout requires, whether the existing cabinet bases are sound enough to carry the new stone, and whether we’re working around a tile backsplash that has to be cut out and re-set.
Every Bradford job gets a written line-item price before any work starts. That price includes the Silestone material, fabrication, tear-out, disposal, install, and the seam work. It also includes our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if the install fails within the first year, we return and correct it at no charge. We operate under The Garrison Standard, which means the number on your proposal is the number on your invoice. There are no change orders folded in at the end unless we both agreed to a scope change in writing first.
DIY or Call Us?
Quartz replacement is not a homeowner job. Silestone slabs run 300 to 400 pounds for a typical run, and the fabrication requires a CNC bridge saw to get clean cutouts and tight seams. What you can safely do is identify the problem and document it: take photos of the crack or seam, measure the affected section, and check whether the slab spans are supported by full cabinet boxes or partial framing. That information shortens the quote process when you call. What goes wrong when homeowners try to lift or reset Silestone themselves: dropped slab edges shatter on impact, existing cabinets get racked out of square, and seams get glued crooked so the repair costs more than the original problem. Curtis Lane has seen enough cracked slabs on garage floors to know the difference between saving money and creating a bigger invoice.

FAQs

A properly installed Silestone counter should last 20 to 30 years in normal Dallas use, but Dallas clay soil movement and hard-water mineral exposure shorten the realistic lifespan of a less-than-perfect install. The failure point is almost never the quartz itself. It’s the seam, the substrate, or the cutout geometry.
A hairline crack can sometimes be stabilized with tinted resin if the slab is still fully bonded to the substrate, but the repair will always be visible under direct light. If the crack is through the full thickness or near a sink cutout, replacement is the honest answer. Call (903) 326-8963 and we’ll look at photos or come out to assess.
A countertop-only Silestone replacement usually runs 3 to 5 business days from template to install. A full kitchen remodel with Silestone, cabinetry, and backsplash takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on permitting and material lead times. We put the schedule in writing before work starts.
We order Silestone to spec for each job, pulling from Dallas distribution rather than speculative stocking. That means the color and lot are ordered fresh for your project. Common colors run 5 to 10 business days; specialty and current-run colors can take longer. We’ll confirm availability before you commit.
No. Under The Garrison Standard, the written price you sign is the price you pay. The only exception is if you ask us to expand scope mid-project, and even then we put the new number in writing before we touch it.
