ViewLux Kitchen Remodeling: The Dallas Owner’s Guide

A full ViewLux kitchen remodel in Dallas runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, depending on cabinet count, countertop material, and whether we’re moving plumbing or electrical. We stock ViewLux-compatible cabinet hardware, hinges, drawer slides, and door fronts so individual failures don’t force a full tear-out. Most Dallas homeowners find us after a drawer face splits, a soft-close hinge gives out, or a cabinet box starts sagging under the weight of Texas humidity cycles.

Bradford Remodeling Co Dallas is an independent contractor and not affiliated with ViewLux. We work with their product line because the cabinetry dimensions, hinge specs, and drawer hardware are consistent enough to match reliably, and because Dallas homeowners keep asking us to.

Which ViewLux Models This Applies To

An open kitchen and dining area after a remodel

ViewLux cabinetry runs on a few distinct hardware platforms, and the part you need depends on which one you have. The older ViewLux Classic line uses 35mm cup hinges with a 9mm overlay, while the ViewLux Contemporary and Estate Series moved to 48mm cup hinges with a 13mm overlay. That 4mm difference sounds small until you try to hang a door on the wrong plate and the reveal is off by a visible margin. We match by pulling one hinge off the existing door and measuring the cup diameter and screw spacing, not by guessing from the door style.

In most cases we install OEM ViewLux parts when the originals are still available through the manufacturer’s distribution network. Where ViewLux has discontinued a finish or hinge style, we source a quality aftermarket equivalent from Blum or Salice, both of which build the same euro-cup geometry ViewLux used. The aftermarket parts hold up just as well as factory in our experience, and they carry their own manufacturer warranty.

One compatibility gotcha worth knowing: ViewLux switched drawer slide suppliers around 2019. Cabinets built before that often run a 3/4-extension side-mount slide, and later production uses full-extension undermount. The mounting holes do not line up. If you order the wrong slide, it will not bolt in without drilling new holes in the cabinet box. We check the year stamp on the cabinet label or measure the slide profile before we order anything.

Signs Your ViewLux Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

  • Soft-close hinges stop catching. The internal damper wears out or the cup hinge housing cracks. The door slams instead of easing shut. This is the most common ViewLux part failure we replace in Dallas, and it’s almost always the hinge, not the door.
  • Drawer fronts pull loose from the box. ViewLux uses dowel and adhesive construction on many front-attach drawer boxes. Years of Texas heat and humidity cycles break the adhesive bond. The front stays on partially, then comes off in your hand.
  • Cabinet boxes sag or the bottom panel drops. Overloaded upper cabinets or water intrusion from a sink line can compromise the particleboard substrate. Once the bottom panel bows more than a quarter inch, the cabinet needs a rebuild or reinforcement, not a shim.
  • Doors drift out of alignment and won’t adjust back. The hinge plate screws strip out of the cabinet side. This is common in ViewLux models screwed directly into particleboard without a reinforcing plate. We repair it with threaded inserts, which hold better than the original factory screws.
  • Finish peels around the sink base or dishwasher opening. Moisture gets under the thermally fused laminate edge and the surface separates. This rarely shows up until the cabinet is two or three years old, and it tends to spread once it starts.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A galley kitchen opened up to the dining room with a new peninsula

A full ViewLux kitchen remodel in Dallas lands between $14,000 and $45,000. The range is driven by how many cabinets we’re replacing or refacing, whether countertops get swapped, and whether plumbing or electrical has to move. At the low end, a cabinet reface with new doors, drawer fronts, and hardware on a modest kitchen runs around $14,000. A full gut with new cabinets, Cambria or Caesarstone counters, and an island sits at the top of that range.

Individual parts are far less. ViewLux-compatible soft-close hinges run $20 to $45 each installed. Drawer slides run $35 to $80 per set, installed. A replacement drawer front with matching finish typically runs $90 to $180. We give a written price before any work starts, and that number is the number. No change orders, no repricing at the door. Every part install carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it fails inside a year, we come back and fix it at no charge.

The other brands we stock parts for include KraftMaid, Cambria surfaces, and Silestone, so if you have a mixed-material kitchen, one call covers it.

DIY or Call Us?

You can safely check the obvious things yourself. Take off one hinge and measure the cup diameter. Count the screws. Look for the year stamp or part number on the cabliarnet label. That information saves you time when you call, and it’s half of what I ask for up front anyway.

Where I’d stop and call us: anything involving cabinet boxes that have pulled away from the wall, because you cannot tell if the mounting screws were properly hit into studs until you’ve backed one out. And full cabinet replacement means leveling across a floor that has settled, Dallas slab movement being what it is. That’s not a weekend job. It’s a half-day with the right levels, shims, and patience.

If you’re not sure whether the part is worth replacing or the cabinet is done, call (903) 326-8963 and ask for me. We’ll talk through what you’re looking at and whether it’s a hinge or a tear-out. Straight number, real scope, no surprises on delivery day.
